How Revive® Can Help Your Patients
Revive is clinically shown to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI) – bladder leakage with physical movement or activity. Revive was studied in a multi-center clinical trial in multiple US cities/states, with women varying in age, BMI and stress urinary incontinence (SUI) severity. Revive has been clinically shown to be effective in managing symptoms associated with SUI. In this study, 71% of women experienced a >50% reduction in leakage volume, leakage episodes, or both while wearing Revive as compared to baseline. Leakage volume was measured by weighing pads after 12 hours of wearing the bladder support. Participants self-reported their leakage episodes in their daily diaries.
of participants felt that Revive was a good fit upon first use.
Revive is a safe and effective option for women to manage their SUI symptoms. In a clinical trial studying the device for home use, there were no reported serious adverse events. The product also underwent safety testing to comply with guidelines set forth by the FDA for pessary-like devices. Testing displayed that both the bladder support, string, and the applicator of Revive are biocompatible. The materials used are not made with latex. Additional testing also concluded that use of the product does not enhance the growth of Staphylococcus aureus or promote the growth of TSST-1, indicating that use of Revive does not increase risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Revive does not alter the growth of normal vaginal microflora including Gardnerella vaginalis, Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Enterococcus faecalis. 1 Revive clinical study data on file.
